When Shelley, a friend of our beloved client Mad About Style, approached us with her vision for SERO, we knew we were in for something special. Shelly’s passion for the fashion and sewing world sparked an idea that was both practical and meaningful: a brand that brings convenience and creativity to the modern maker.
From the beginning, we were captivated by her ambition to create something revolutionary. We jumped at the chance to help bring this vision to life, starting with branding and taking it all the way through to an engaging online presence.
The Challenge
Launching a brand in a niche market comes with unique challenges – it is not only creating a brand but also defining an entirely new category. We had to understand this emerging audience, test the market, and translate Shelly’s great vision to the branding.
There were moments of refinement and back-and-forth, but each step brought us closer to creating the unique brand identity: a brand that blended the rich history of sewing with modern convenience, creating a unique proposition for the makers today.
The Solution
To craft a brand as unique as SERO, we dove into Shelley’s story of her childhood dreams and experience in sewing. There, we birthed Sew with SERO.
The branding draws inspiration from traditional, hand-crafted elements – patterns from antique sewing machines and the unmistakable “S” that represents both the brand name and the industry itself. The brand identity was designed to resonate with creators, immediately connecting them to the brand’s deeper meaning.
After solidifying SERO’s branding, we brought it online – a modern, functional website that combines an e-commerce platform with storytelling designs, blending sales with the rich narrative behind the unique category.
